The Cinemagic Film and Television Festival's Los Angeles Showcase celebrated young talents from Northern Ireland and Los Angeles, with Prairie Vista Middle School students premiering their short film "Dream Notes."

Three teachers from the Hawthorne School District were honored at the Southwest SELPA Awards for their contributions to the growth of students with special needs. The ceremony featured a Bud Carson Middle School student speaker and student-led audio-visual team, who filmed and photographed the event.
