The HSD Read-A-Thon united over 3,500 elementary students to read more than half a million pages, promoting literacy while supporting children in two school-based health centers through meaningful donations.

Hawthorne School District celebrated the opening of its new HSD Health and Wellness Center at Zela Davis School, the second school-based clinic developed in partnership with Venice Family Clinic, expanding access to healthcare services for students, families, and the community.

Prairie Vista Middle School has been named a 2026 California Exemplary Arts Education Award recipient, recognized as one of only 19 schools statewide and three middle schools for its outstanding, equitable, and comprehensive arts program.
