What is SELPA
In response to Federal laws, legislation was passed in California which provides the legal foundation for a comprehensive plan in special education and requires local districts and agencies to establish a Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) to address the needs of all children with disabilities. Each SELPA develops a local plan describing how it will provide special education services. SELPAs also support Community Advisory Committees (CAC). The SELPA produces our Parent Rights booklet attached below. Our SELPA has numerous and great quality of training that it provides for staff at all levels. We encourage you to review the SELPA’s website.
