COVID-19 Antigen Test FDA-Extended Expiration Dates
Most at-home tests can be safely used past the printed expiration date located on the box. Check the FDA’s At-Home COVID-19 Test page to see if the expiration date of your test kit has been extended. Note, the expiration date on the box is printed as year- month - day. For example, 2022 11 20 means November 20, 2022.
You can also refer to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health's website for any other information regarding testing for COVID-19.
Back-to-School Testing
Your child's school will be providing an at-home rapid antigen COVID-19 test for all students and staff ahead of the Winter Break. To help ensure a safe return to school, we are strongly encouraging that all students and staff undergo testing for COVID-19 on January 7th, 2024 and again on January 10th, 2024. If your child is absent when the test kits are distributed, you may pick up your child's kit at their school's front office through December 15th, 2024.
If your child tests POSITIVE for COVID-19, please have them stay home, follow the instructions for Students with COVID-19, and use the form below to let your child’s school know about the positive test result.
