Community eFlyer Procedures

The District has contracted with Peachjar to provide electronic flyer delivery to our HSD families.  Peachjar charges a fee for this service that is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school and streamlines the process for District staff.

You may register with Peachjar as an “Enrichment or Community Organization” and upload your flyer for distribution to your desired school(s). 

To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Your flyer will be automatically submitted to the District Office. The flyer will be reviewed and approved or denied based on the guidelines below. Flyers will be approved every Thursday. Flyers will not be approved during district designated holidays or breaks. During those times, flyers will be approved the day before the holiday and the first day that the district reopens. Please make sure that your flyers have been submitted at least 10 days before the event date. If approved, your flyer will be emailed to all families and posted online.

Peachjar Flyers Uploading Guidelines:  

  • Be in PDF format
  • Be in portrait orientation 8.5 x 11
  • Bear the name and contact information of the sponsoring entity
  • Include an identical Spanish version

Fliers will be approved or denied based on the following guidelines: 

HSD approves the distribution of flyers that promote: 

  • Educational events aligned to the District’s vision, mission, and core values for the betterment of student learning
  • Healthy and wholesome enrichment opportunities that support education beyond the classroom
  • Leisure activities for our students and families sponsored by organizations/agencies that support our schools or district 

HSD does not approve the distribution of:

  • Flyers for private businesses
  • Flyers for organizations that do not have a partnership with HSD schools 
  • Flyers for events or programs with associated fees

Approval of your flyer does not imply HSD endorsement of any identified product and/or service.

Peachjar’s digital content complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 A & AA standards. These are the guidelines the Office of Civil Rights requires for school district digital content.

What does that mean? Emails sent to parents through Peachjar, and each school’s Peachjar flier page, are now to be compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies.

How to make your flier ADA compliant: After uploading the flier, the text from your flier will be copied into an editable text box for you to review and correct as needed before sending the flier. Your flier should meet the following requirements:

  1. Be 1-4 pages in length.
  2. Contain clear and legible text in size 12 font or larger.
  3. Not be a scanned or copied document. You may be required to copy/paste or type the text into the description box.

Note that images and scans cannot be read by screen readers.

Additionally, please note that embedded links within your flyer will not automatically link to Internet sites. A submitter can utilized call to action buttons or QR codes to direct users to Internet sites.
